is shaping up to be a good racing year for me, if this event
is anything to go by. I finished 4th
in the Slalom & 3rd
in the Formula behind Xavier in 2nd and
Alan Jackson in first (well done Al). A great event despite
no wind for 2 days. We got 6 Formula races and even had
some time to do 3 slalom races in the sunny wind filled
bay near Penzance. With flat clear waters and warm weather
despite a chilly wind, it was everything we have come to
love about Marazion... (except for those who sailed into
the hidden rocks, but escaped unhurt luckily). A lovely
location with nice conditions to brave the winter waters
with, and all your mates sailing at your side, each battling
for every inch, just to get to the finishing boat first,
makes this event one of the best every year.
A special thankyou to the Mike Simpson for the photo's,
the race crew for some great racing, organisers and everyone
for a great easter weekend... See you all at Hove in two
weeks... ;-)
